      Minase Shrine

    • Koya Ryujin Skyline

      This is a tourist road that connects Koyasan and Ryujin Onsen.
      You can trek through Koyasan-Ryujin Quasi-National Park and enjoy the various natural scenery of each season.

      Gomadansan

      The mountain range of Kishu Ryujin Village, with Gomadansan at its peak, is the roof of Kishu.

      In this blessed natural environment, Koya Ryujin Skyline runs along the ridgeline of the Koyasan-Ryujin Quasi-National Park.
      This is a 42.7km long road that connects the sacred mountain Koyasan and Ryujin Village.
      From this route, you can get a panoramic view of the Kishu mountains stretching out beyond the sea of clouds.

      Also, Gomadansan, located in the middle of the Skyline,
      Taira no Koremori of the Heike Taira clan, who was defeated in the Genpei War and fled to this area,
      This is a legendary mountain where people's fate is said to be predicted by burning goma wood.

      Gomasan Skytower

      The 33m-tall tower was designed based on the historical facts of Gomadansan.
      It has a unique shape made of stacked goma wood.

      On a clear day, you can even see the Shikoku Mountains.

      Gomadansan Forest Park Wildlife

      On the southern slope of Gomadansan, a primeval forest of beech and oak trees spreads out.
      Within this is Gomadansan Forest Park Wildlife.

      There are many spots where you can observe wild birds and animals here,
      There are facilities where you can enjoy nature, including Japan's largest rhododendron garden with 60,000 plants.

      In addition, there is an outdoor stage and a snack and souvenir shop at the forest square.

      Komoriya Valley

      The Komoriya Valley is the source of Hidaka River.
      It is located about 6km north of Ryujin Onsen.

      The area is dotted with numerous waterfalls and streams, including the remains of the mansion where Taira no Taira no Koremori is said to have hidden away.
      There are many legends surrounding Yorimori, and the place is famous as a scenic spot for viewing autumn leaves.

      Tenchu Warehouse(Tenchu Gura)

      Onsenji Temple(Onsen Dera)

      During the Kōnin era, Kobo Daishi discovered the hot springs after receiving a prophecy in a dream from Nanda-ryūō.
      The Medicine Buddha was enshrined here.

      Later, in the second year of the Hoei era
      The Ryuo-mori Yakushido Hall was rebuilt by a monk named Myozan and was named Onsenji Temple.
      The current Onsenji Temple was rebuilt in recent years.

    Koyasan is the general name for the mountains around 1,000m above sea level located in Koyacho, Ito District, Wakayama Prefecture.
    It has been registered as a World Heritage Site as "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range."
    • Kongobuji Temple(Conflict)

      Kongobuji Temple is one of 3,600 temples Koyasan Shingon Sect.
      It is the head temple of 10 million believers.
    • The Bell of the Great Tower - Takano Shiro

      This hot spring is adjacent to Shirarahama Beach.
      After enjoying swimming in the sea, you can enter the mixed-gender open-air bath while still wearing your swimsuit.
